For the past fifteen years Dr. Richard Sherry has worked with individuals, families, groups, departments and organisations to effect change. His further research in to clinical neuro-psychology and neuroscience lead him to understand these same processes of function and dysfunction are scalar, occurring at all levels, from the neural peptides which control brain function, up to the scale of entire social systems. Military and Police Psychology
In addition to some of these previous details, Dr. Richard Sherry has worked in posts as the psychologist with the Fire Brigade and the National Service for Police Psychiatry, where he served as the co-ordinator for the National Service. He has also been the Lead treating Clinical Psychologist for Military inpatient treatment for seven years. His interest in extreme environments and high performance stems from some of the experiences that have made him one of the foremost treating clinical psychologists working in London. These clinical treatment demands have informed his wider work both in humanitarian medicine, disaster medicine and psychology, as well as with his interest in organisations and extreme environments. He is currently finishing further specialty training with a Diploma in Ethics and Philosophy of Medicine (DPMSA), in which he is specialising in developing new frameworks for improving disaster ethics. Dr. Richard Sherry is also currently working towards completing his Fellowship in Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) and the Diploma in Conflict and Catastrophe Medicine (DCCM). He is very interested in the cross learning and development that can be gained in the most difficult environments and how this learning can positively help our development in all aspects of psychology to improve quality and meaning within our lives.

Multiple areas of advanced training
Dr. Richard Sherry is a Clinical Psychologist and a Counselling Psychologist (HCPC registered). He is also a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (BPC and UKCP registered). Among other degrees and areas of specialty, he holds an MA in Organisational Consultancy from the Tavistock Centre; a certificate in Traumatology from the European Society for Traumatic Studies; he is a founding member of the Society for NeuroPsychoanalysis, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, and a Fellow for the Conflict and Disaster section of the Society of Apothecaries. Further areas of specialist training include; EMDR Consultant, and newer body psychotherapy as a registered practitioner for Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT). Whilst he is also working toward completing full membership in CBT with the BABCP and further specialty training in clinical neuropsychology, The Fellowship in Wilderness Medicine, and a Diploma in Conflict and Catastrophe Medicine.
Humanitarian Aid and Intervention
Dr. Richard Sherry is very interested in developing solutions across the spectrum for individuals, couples, families, organisations and societies. This work will include the interconnected study and first-hand work within each of these environments.
